Donations for Loving Library’s Fierce Fighter Project will go directly to pediatric oncology patients ranging from infancy to 18-years old at Cook Children’s Hospital. Our goal is to provide a backpack customized with content for each hospitalized patient. You can contribute by purchasing contents directly from the wishlist or by donating below.

Shaan
Hi I’m Shaan, I am 14 years old and going into 9th grade. I like to read, play tennis and video games. When I’m older I want to go to university and explore my options before I decide on a career path.
I love books because they allow me escape into other worlds and expand my imagination. Books deepen my understanding of the world around me and allow me to empathize with other’s experiences. I want to be a part of this Loving Library chapter so I can make the world a better place in my own way and spread hope and strength to help those that will face the ultimate battle for their life.
Shaan’s Why
This project is important to me because my cousin, Krishna Broker, was a warrior who fought childhood cancer. She fought fiercely with courage, long and hard, with a constant smile on her face but passed after the cancer came back. She was 14. I want her fighter spirit, constant radiance and kindness to live on through my project.
My goal for this project is to provide comfort kits for childhood cancer patients as they start this scary journey. I hope to make a positive impact in my community by helping a group of people who are very important to me. I want this project to benefit these fierce fighters by making them feel loved during a trying time.
